Today we discussed why academic writing must reflect your own thinking and understanding rather than relying on artificial intelligence to generate your ideas. After learning about the expectations for authentic writing, reflect on why it is important for students to write essays in their own words.

Prompt Response: After learning the authentic expectations for writing, I think that it is important for students to write their essays in their own words because it helps them improve even if they fail by getting feedback from their teachers considering it isn't over if you at least try even a little on assignments or tests. Another reason why it might be important is that more amazing literature exists there in the world because you never know what creative pieces might be used for later generations.  Summary: Today in class we learned how to do our explanations properly that ties the evidence to our claim. After that we watched two videos on the effect of A.I. on schools and universities and then answered 5 questions about them.  Reflection: Today I learned that A.I. can be used in a good way. This impacted me by making me feel a bit shocked as while it's not that the thought didn't occur in my head, I just didn't think it would be an effective way of learning. In t...

Today we focused on constructing a strong literary argument paragraph about Wild and whether discomfort is necessary for meaningful personal growth. After working through the claim-evidence-analysis structure, explain which part of the paragraph was most challenging for you and why. Do you find it more difficult to create an arguable claim or to move beyond summary in your analysis?

Prompt Response: After creating a strong literary argument paragraph about Wild and whether discomfort is necessary for meaningful personal growth. The most challenging part about it was the explaining part for each of the evidences which I felt were quite weak in execution even if I had the idea in mind. When it came to creating my arguable claim it wasn't that hard, but it had difficulties in the way it was said, including the length of it being shorter than I imagined.  Summary: Today in class we looked at how to create a thesis and then worked on how to create a literary argument body paragraph.  Reflection: Today I learned that a thesis is often just one sentence divided into three parts, the topic, the argument, and then the three or vaguely said things we are going to argue. This impacted me by making me feel a bit confused at the Umbrella method that was mentioned of vaguely stating the different things that are going to be discussed since it wasn't easy, but it ...

Reflect on your experiences with essay writing. What aspects of writing essays do you find most engaging or challenging? Discuss your personal strengths as a writer as well as specific areas where you experience difficulty or would like to improve. Support your reflection with clear examples from your own writing experiences.

Prompt Response: My experiences with essay writing were often horrible or just straight up bad because of the fact of the lack of preparedness for them and also because I only know on how to create a normal essay instead of an outstanding one. The things I find most engaging when writing essays is most likely the thesis or introductory paragraph in the essay since it's roughly easy to do compared to the body paragraph and confusion. The thing I find often most challenging when writing each and every single essay that I've done up till now will always be the conclusion paragraph due to the fact that even though I know how to start it, the question is what do I include in it if I'm just restarting what I addressed in my body paragraph's or the ideas in my thesis. Another challenge or difficulty I face is my body paragraph's because usually it's one sentence addressing the idea, then your evidence, and then a sentence or three explaining how it connects to your cl...

After viewing your classmates’ digital posters and reading the feedback comments left on your work, what new ideas or perspectives did you gain about your poster? Reflect on how the feedback influenced the way you think about your creative choices and describe what you learned about the creative process while designing and presenting your poster.

Prompt Response: After viewing my classmates digital posters and reading the feedback comments left on my work, Some new ideas or perspectives that I gained about my work is that not everyone see's the stroke of art that I created the way I do. One comment that stood out to me was Perla's comment of being well thought out and giving good advice, the advice being of making my simile's and metaphors more shorter that readers could get the meaning more clearly which stood out as an initial problem when people read my short poetry but also because it allows them to see things in a different light. The creative process of designing my poster was the fact that I had decided that this would be my first time putting in full effort into the design of it, unfortunately it didn't go as I intended but it did look good and overall I'm pretty happy with it since it was first just a white page with boxes on it.  Summary: Today in class we commented on each other's posters and...

Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time).

Prompt Response: A metaphor I think about that challenged me the most when creating my figurative language has to be based on Negative Labels. The reason why, is because while they're stereotypes for Indians, I wasn't really told or from my memory anything that relates to being called something that's negative. So on forth, the difficulty in creating this metaphor for me was in finding a reason for what's commonly related to Indians and people like me. I overcame this by using inspiration from literature that I have read in class like "Still I Rise", although I didn't copy it fully, I used the analysis that we did as a class and turned it into a good metaphor that talked about looks. Next time I'll most likely first think of sub-topics that relate to the main theme or headline in order to draft some good ideas.  Summary: Today in class we finished the 6 figurative language devices consisting of 3 metaphors, and 3 simile's. Then we got started work...

Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Prompt Response: Today when I created a few similes and metaphors that reflected on my struggles, growth, and resilience I realized that it was quite hard as even though it is easy to come up with the idea at first as there a lot of experiences that we can use. However when it comes to trying to put it into words or trying to write it down into a figurative language like format, it's a bit difficult. However unlike similes that use like and as which makes it more simpler, doing metaphors are hard because you are trying to tie two ideas that are similar without using 'like' and 'as' which can become quite difficult. Overall I learned that the type of person I am while creating figurative language is that I like to add deeper meaning behind words in a fancy way despite the message being so simple, the reason for doing so is because it sounds grand and it makes it more meaningful because no one else or at least a few people can create the lines you made.  Summary: Tod...

Describe how you spent your time, any activities, traditions, travel, hobbies, or moments that stood out to you. You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school. Keep your response appropriate for a school setting and focus on experiences you are comfortable sharing publicly

Prompt Summary: During my break, I won't say I did a lot of things but a few things that could be summarized as my "break". During this break I had a goal of starting to study for my ASVAB which started off slow but then snowballed into a lot of things for March2Success to which I completed around almost three courses (Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Basic Aritmethic <Listed from first to last>). The hardest being Grammar since it was so confusing just learning it but sooner or later thanks to ChatGPT since my strong suit is spatial awareness or pattern recognition I understood that it's more of a mechanism or structure that's simplified. Other than that my hobbies were usually listening to music, sleeping (I did not do much of that), and especially reading the webnovel Reverend Insanity, to which I read over 400 chapters! Reaching chapter 1904, to which before the break I was at chapter 1452 which in terms of reading Wild, it'd have to be atleast 2...
